Lentils with bananas from Comoros

The recipe I present to you today is from Comoros, a country from Africa, this is an original way to cook the lentils, It is healthy, vegan and nutritious.

Lentils with bananas from Comoros


Ingredients:

- 3 green bananas.
- 300 grams lentils.
- 1 onion.
- 3 garlic cloves.
- 1 tomato.
- 1 tablespoon curry.



Method:

1- Peel and cut the bananas into slices, then cut the onion, garlic and tomato into pieces.



2- Put the ingredients in a casserole following this order: First a layer of bananas.


3- Add the lentils.


4- Add other layer of bananas, onion and garlic.


5- Add water until you just cover the ingredients.


6- Add curry and salt.



7- Cook at medium heat until bananas are soft, now add the tomato.


8- Cook at medium heat until the lentils are done. It will take between one hour - one hour and a half.
They will cook faster if you cover the casserole leaving a space to let the steam go out.
